HID GLOBAL UNVEILS ITS LATEST TRUSTED IDENTITIES INNOVATIONS AT INTERPOL WORLD 2019

HID Global, a worldwide leader in trusted identity solutions, exhibited its range of secured identity solutions for government applications during INTERPOL World 2019 in Singapore. As demand for greater identity security within the region has grown over the past years, HID Global is actively engaging with governments to help develop solutions for all identity authentication challenges in border control, financial institutions, citizen identification, healthcare and transportation. To date, the company has one of the broadest portfolios of secured identity and access management products and services in the world.
At Interpol World 2019, HID showcased its latest technologies such as the iCLASS SE® RB25F Biometric Fingerprint Reader, the HID FARGO® HDP6600 Retransfer Printer and the HID® Mobile Biometric Readers. Designed to deliver flexibility, scalability and cost-effectiveness for users, all of HID’s authentication technologies are now offered on a secured cloud platform. This provides necessary security and simplicity in identity and access management from large-scale high security use cases all the way down to small enterprises.
Unrivalled Biometric Fingerprint Authentication
Earlier this year, HID had launched the iCLASS SE® RB25F Biometric Fingerprint Reader. The addition of biometric fingerprint technology to HID’s access control solutions has put the company in a unique position to deploy a two-factor authentication within a wide-range of applications. Using HID’s globally-patented multispectral imaging technology, the iClass RB25F Biometric Fingerprint Reader captures images from both the surface and sub-surface of the skin so that all types of fingerprints can be read quickly. This addresses the significant issues of delays and inaccuracy which are common in biometric solutions.
The iClass RB25F Biometric Fingerprint Reader has a high duty cycle, whereby it has a robust IP67 and anti-vandal IK09 ratings which enables it to perform reliably in challenging environmental conditions. With liveness detection, the iClass RB25F can also detect in real-time that fingerprints are genuine and belong to a living person. The reader is also field-configurable over a network, and is designed to ease migration from traditional and existing fingerprint reader solutions.
Redefining retransfer printing technology
Touted as the world’s fastest retransfer printer, the HID FARGO® HDP6600 is capable of high resolution 600 dpi printing of up to 230 cards per hour. Built on six generations of proven retransfer technology, the HDP6600 is a cost-effective, eco-friendly and reliable solution. HID Global has completely reengineered the retransfer printing concept and redesigned the printer from the ground up to accelerate high-volume, high-quality printing, lower the printing cost per card and deliver best-in-class energy efficiency–all with HID’s well-known industry-leading reliability. As a result, the new printer is easier to service, less expensive to operate and more flexible across a wider range of applications.
“The HDP6600 has a quick transfer roller heating and an “instant on” technology to enable simultaneous film printing and card retransfer processes,"

"The technology reduces the time it takes to print the first card to an industry-low 60 seconds, cutting average annual wait times by 20 hours. This improves project efficiency and cuts costs from energy usage.”

Simplifying identity management on cloud platform
For the first time ever, ID cards and secured credentials can be issued from anywhere and from any device via HID’s cloud platform. HID FARGO Connect creates a new approach for ID issuance that replaces the old paradigm of standalone printers tied to a dedicated PC workstation.
Using the industry’s most secure cloud technologies with end-to-end encryption and transport layer security, HID FARGO Connect allows users to remotely issue, manage and print ID cards around the world. Users can create new cards, encode data, issue replacements and manage print queues all in one trusted system that meets the most stringent regulatory security and data privacy requirements.
HID FARGO Connect is a platform that will continue to evolve over time to further enhance the capabilities for mobility and securing the Internet of Trusted Things (IoTT).
